Disability Equality Briefing

This is a condensed version of the full day Disability Equality and Awareness Session covering 4 main areas: A practical definition of disability, Terminology, Experience of wheelchair users and the carers perspective

Absence Management and the DDA: Briefing

Managing Absences in itself is a time consuming and stressful process – but not paying proper attention to the legal issues around disabled peoples availability for work can be costly.

This course will show you how to properly balance the needs of your business with your legal responsibilities and remove the stress and uncertainty of handling absences of disabled staff and those with long term health conditions.

Walk, Talk, Wheel and Waffle

Our walks, talks, wheels and waffles are interactive training / auditing of your services. With help from disabled people themselves we will give you a guided tour of your own premises from the perspective of a disabled person; highlighted areas that may be in breach of the legislation. Where breaches are identified we will explain how the law works and provide you with advice on how to protect yourselves adequately.

Wheelchair Basketball Team Building / Equality Training

We’re always trying to think of new ways to bring the issue of Good Business, Disability and Legal Responsibilities to life for our clients.

Sometimes it’s best done with a formal board room style presentation, others it’s walk and talks, sometimes it’s written reports – but those things don’t engage with everyone, which is why we’re offering something just a little bit different!

It’s also the perfect forum from which to provide a completely practical demonstration of disability equality in action – and to take the lessons out of the classroom.
