Disability Discrimination Act Training

Last modified
$Date: 28th March 2007

This course provides a better understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act, what reasonable adjustments are and how they relate to your business or organisation.

Understanding the act and your subsequent responsibilities is key to opening up your service to disabled people and avoiding any potential legal action.

This course would be useful for staff at all levels of an organisation, from front line to senior managers.

Understanding the Act itself can go a long way to understanding disability and how to be proactive, supportive and non-discriminatory toward disabled customers and employees. And who better to teach you about it than people who truly understand disabled people and the intricacies of the act?

This course has been designed with the ethos 'prevention is better than the cure'.

If your organisation has a good understanding of this vital piece of legislation and your own roles and responsibilities, the logical assumption is that you will be less likely to have legal action brought against you.

This is a half day course.

There are also several variations of this course available concentrating on different areas of the act: Employment, Service Provision, Education and the newest addition to the Act, The Disability Equality Duty. Prices on request.
